CHILDREN'S HOME RECEIVES HELP

Companies in the spirit of giving

Major companies contributes towards the community by assisting previously abused, neglected and abandoned children with skincare products, a Toyota bus and musical instruments for therapy.

KOPANO FUEL PTY (LTD.) made sure that 2 houses from the Jakaranda Children's Home can get to and from school, attend extra-curricular activities, go on outings and have transport when they need it. Hennie Engelbrecht from KOPANO FUEL PTY (LTD) sponsored a brand new Toyota Quantum. Oosthavens Musiek made sure that the music therapy program keeps on going to help encourage, enable and empower the 10 children from Jakaranda Children's Home creatively through music by sponsoring 10 kitaars, 10 kitaar tuners, 9 kitaar strings and all the repairs of broken kitaars the Jakaranda Children's Home receive as donations. Dis-chem Glenfair sponsored Cetaphil and Nutriderm to all the teenagers from the Louis Botha Children's Home worth R30 000.

The Jakaranda and Louis Botha Children's Homes are non-profit organizations (NPO) that look after the welfare of abused children. These children are removed from their parents and placed in our care by the South African children's court due to: abandonment, neglect, emotional and physical abuse. Our primary purpose is to provide the children with clothing, housing, schooling, food, security and stability. In addition, we aim to provide the children with the necessary therapy, life skills and emotional support that they need in order to become responsible adults and curb the cycle of abuse.
